Lord, you have been our refuge from generation to generation.
Before the mountains were born, or before you formed the earth and the world, yea, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Thou reducest man to dust, and sayest: Return, sons of men!
For a thousand years in your eyes are like yesterday gone by, and like a watch in the night.
You carry them away like a torrent; they are like sleep; in the morning they are like grass that grows.
