Prayer to ask that God’s will be done

Today we are going to see one prayer that we can pray to request that the will of god be fulfilled.

It is important to pray for God’s will to be done in our lives; But how to align our desires and our will with what God wants? How can we learn to want God’s plan for us more than we want our own?

Jesus’ prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane is the best model of absolute sincerity and complete submission. He knew that he would be arrested, tortured, and killed. The “cup” he was about to drink was that of divine wrath for the sins of humanity, and he would receive punishment upon himself. Jesus foresaw the physical suffering and emotional agony of separation from the Father, so he asked God to spare him from suffering. The intensity of this prayer gives us a glimpse of the humanity of Jesus. He would not have lived to this point if the punishment had not been painful.

You and I face difficult circumstances. We wait and feel God say, “Stay in this troubled marriage, love this wayward child, be nice to this pushy boss.” The example of Jesus, we can ask God to offer us from the cup of suffering. But we must also say: “Not as I want, but as you want.” The easiest way may not be the best. The easy way is not usually God’s way for you.

God wants us to pray for everything, but his desire is that we pray according to his will. Therefore, it is important to ask God to reveal his perfect will to us and help us to pray accordingly.

POWERFUL PRAYER THY WILL BE DONE LORD

Heavenly Father, although I want you to take away all my pain and suffering and give me all your blessings, I want things to develop the way you want and above all that your will be done. Reveal your will and help me to pray according to it.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Oh Jesus nailed to the cross, I beg you, grant me the grace to always faithfully fulfill your most holy will of the Father. Being me everywhere and in everything I do.

And when this will of God seems difficult to fulfill, at that moment, I beg Jesus, that strength and vigor descend upon me from your wounds, and that I can say: Your will be done, my God!

Oh Savior of the world, lover of human redemption, who in such terrible tortures of pain, forget yourselves and remind you of the salvation of souls.

Jesus, full of compassion, grant me the grace to forget myself in order to live totally for souls, helping you in the work of salvation, according to the most holy will of your Father, our God.

Prayer to Accept God’s Will

God, give me all the strength and power, give me today the assurance of your love and the certainty that you are with me.

I ask for your help and protection for this day, because I need your help and your mercy.

Take away the fear that invades me, take away the doubt that bothers me.

Clarify my broken spirit with the light that illuminated the path of your divine son Jesus Christ, here on earth.

May I, Lord, perceive all your greatness and your presence in me.

Blow your spirit into my soul so that I feel my interior strengthened by your presence, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day.

That I can feel your voice within me and around me and in my decisions. That I can perceive your will.

That I can feel your wonderful power through strength, prayer and with this power, my Miracle that you can perform in my favor, softening my problems, calming my spirit, increasing my faith.

Do not leave Me

Oh! Lord Jesus, stay with me so that I do not despair and forget me.

Lift my spirit when you find it down.

Help me to follow you without hesitation and without looking back.

I give you this day all my life and the life of all my family.

Free us from all evil that can be directed at us, even if it is by miracle, I know God, who will take care of me because you love me and listen to me with love.

Knowing the will of God

When we stop to meditate on God’s Word, we find several Bible verses that speak of his will for us.

“And do not be satisfied with this world, but be transformed with the renewal of your mind, so that you can prove what is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

“Because I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you a future and hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

And then we begin to think that something is wrong, because many, when they look at their life, perceive everything so confused and their Will seems to disappear.

On several occasions we pray as follows: “Lord, your will be done.” And suddenly what I long for does not happen. That friend I reluctantly trusted decides to leave me. That boy he was in love with, the next day, he shows up with a girlfriend. I was fired from work …

“My God, the Lord does not love me, the Lord does not hear my prayers… Does the Lord like to see me suffer?

And you start to open doors to murmurs, complaints… and with that you start to contaminate the people around you. And, just forget the prayer you said: “Father, do your will in my life.”

One day, God sent his son to walk here on this earth and, unlike us, he had his own will. If you don’t know, Jesus’ will was often not the same as God’s will, so much so that he prays, “If it is possible, let this cup go from me, but let IT BE YOURS.” Jesus himself renounced his will to do the will of the Father, and we see that he made an excellent choice.

Sometimes you have also prayed that way, but the impression you get is that things are getting worse. But know: if you really choose to do his will, He will do everything differently…

And when you least expect it, you will see how good it was for you that that friend left, because after all, she did not come to you with God, and now you have sought more …

And when you least expect it, you will see how good it was for that boy to start dating, that it only showed that it was not for you and that what God has for you is someone who will be willing to conquer you.

And when you least expect it, you will see how good it was to lose that job, because today God has opened a much bigger door for you, where you are recognized and valued for what you do.

And when you least expect it, you will see how good it was to be “without money” for a while, so you have learned to value it more and see how much you invested in vain things.

God is so perfect, He knows exactly what we need to be better people. And to live your will, sometimes it will be necessary to give up our comfort, our pampering, in short, to give up our will.

He wants us to grow, mature, and this will hardly happen in a “Party” environment.

To live the will of God… Abraham needed to leave his city and go to a place he did not know.

To live God’s will… Ana cried, went through great challenges, prayed… and saw Samuel being born.

To live the will of God… Daniel needed to say no to the king and experience a miracle with the lions.

To live out God’s will… Esther had to come into the presence of the King, knowing that she could die.

To live the will of God… Joseph was arrested because he fled from sin.

And the Bible makes it clear to us that in order to live God’s Will, we will have to be willing to face challenges.
