“My Lord of Bonfim, I find myself in your presence, humiliating myself with all my heart, to receive from you all the graces that you want to give me.
Forgive me, Lord, all the faults that I may have committed in thoughts, words and works and make me strong to overcome all the temptations of the enemies of my soul.

My Lord of Bonfim! You, who are the Consoling Angel of our souls, I ask and beseech you to help me on difficult days and sustain me in your strong and powerful arms, so that I may walk in peace with you and with God.

Therefore, my Lord of Bonfim, who are the saint with the greatest power on earth, deliver my house and the people who inhabit it, from all evil.
You, Lord, are my Good Shepherd. I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures and guides me through still waters. So be it.”

“My Lord of Bonfim, who walked on water, today you are between the chalice and the consecrated host. The earth trembles but the heart of our Lord Jesus Christ on the altar does not tremble – the hearts of my enemies tremble. When they look at me I bless them on the cross and they don’t bless me.

Between the Sun and the Moon and the stars and the persons of the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. On the crossing I see my enemies, my God, what do I do with them? With the mantle of the Virgin Mary Most Holy I am covered, with the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ I am valid.

If they want to shoot me, water will flow through the barrel of the gun, just as the milk from the breast of Mary Most Holy flowed into the mouth of her beloved son. And other weapons that they raise for me will be suspended in the air and will not reach me.

Just like Mary Most Holy at the foot of the cross, waiting for her blessed son. Rope that I put on my feet will fall, door that locks me will open. Just as the tomb of our Lord Jesus Christ was opened for him to ascend into heaven. Saved I was, saved I am and saved I will be, with the key of the Most Holy Tabernacle I will close myself. (3x).”

“My Lord of Bonfim, I humbly find myself in Your presence to receive from You all the graces You wish to bestow on me. Forgive me, Lord, for all the faults I may have committed by work or thought. Make me strong to overcome all the enemy’s temptations and evil deeds.

May the sacred Orisha Ogum cut with his sword all the evils that approach me. May Yemanja, Queen of the Sea, with your protection, take all the envy that falls on me in shackles to the bottom of the sea; May Oxum take with him all the tears I have to cry, so that despair or misfortune never reach me.

May Ossanha keep away from me all the storms for the winds of bonanza to bring me prosperity; that all the fortune in the world can reach my feet, with the protection of the great orixá Oxum-Maré; May Xangô from the top of his Holy Quarry solidify all the goods that I achieve. Save the Lord of Bonfim, save all the orixás, may they protect me in life, so that I lack nothing.”
