In the Buddhist teaching, the law of karma says only this: “For every event that occurs, there will follow another event whose existence was caused by the first, and this second event may be pleasant or unpleasant whether its cause was good or not.”

Basically, karma means consequence and we carry these consequences of wise actions as talent and skill development, as well as consequences of negative habit patterns and relationship choices.
