Bath of Hope: with boldo, canjica, white roses, rue and more!

In case you didn’t know, Oxalá is one of the most important orixás in Umbanda. This is because he is considered the son of the Greater Father, the most evolved being. That way, the baths of this orisha are quite beneficial for many things.

If you need a bath to open paths or even to ward off negative energies, you can be sure that a bath in Oxalá will solve any problem.

With that in mind, we decided to share the main baths and what they are for, however, it’s only fair that you know the history of Babá and what he represents. Next, understand more about the orixá and its true history.

Even if you are an expert in the mystical world, it is necessary to know everything about it before making any decision. It’s no use knowing a good bath to earn money and not knowing the pros and even the cons of this ritual.

Sympathizing is no joke and therefore requires maximum attention and responsibility. Check out the story of Oxalá below!

For those who don’t know, the orishas are African gods who were created with the intention that each one would care for and preserve every corner of this world. Among all the orixás, Oxalá, also known as Orixalá, was the first to be created and was responsible for the mission of creating the Universe, as well as all beings and all things that exist in the world.

In other religions, such as Catholicism, Oxalá is nothing more than a representation of Master Jesus. I hope he manages to present two forms: Oxaguiã, representing a young man and Oxalufan, a lord.

Orixalá is a very intelligent and respected orixá since he is the greatest deity of the religion. Under his eyes, nothing goes unnoticed or overlooked. He reigns over all peoples, represents peace and helps all who need him.

It is not known for sure how the first ritual with the bath of Oxalá took place, however, due to the fact that Umbanda and Candomblé are two religions of African origin, it is quite possible that the Africans created this tradition together with the offerings and superstitions of the past. Bathing the gods is a very old ritual, passed down through generations.

It is impossible to list just one or two purposes of Oxalá’s bath, an orixá so powerful that he is capable of blocking evil in any and all areas of his life. In general, the bath serves to filter the energies and send away the negative ones.

In addition, it is a strong ally to ease headaches, chills, insomnia, difficulties in love and joblessness. That way, if you’re looking for a job, you can count on a shower of Oxalá.

The ingredients used together will depend on the purpose you aim for. There are some Oxalá baths that can be enhanced by mixing some herbs, salt, honey and even warm water. Also, prayer and faith count a lot when performing the ritual. Faith will always be the most important ingredient in any and all rituals.

There are some tips that can help you to enhance the effects of the bath, however, there is a very basic golden tip that is considered a standard in the mystical world. The way in which the energy of the plant is activated counts a lot when preparing it.

For example, if the herbs are fresh, ideally the water should be cold or lukewarm, never hot. On the other hand, it is also advisable to rub the leaves in a container using cold or lukewarm water, until you manage to extract the juice from the herb.

Another important tip is to connect with nature, ask permission and be grateful for having the plant at that time. Before taking a shower, if you leave it resting for a few minutes, you will definitely have a much better potency in the result.

During the preparation of the bath – be it Oxalá or any orisha – it is very important that you be careful. Generally, some herbs are extremely toxic and, because of this, you need to be careful and always wash your hands when you come into contact with them.

Also, some baths do not allow head washing. Other baths will require a lot of intuition from you. Follow the guidance of the mediums of the terreiro or center you attend. Thus, there is no way that anything goes as unplanned.

Many plants and herbs are used in the preparation of baths in order to take care of our energy. In the case of boldo, it is considered the carpet of Oxalá in Umbanda. This is because your plant contains a large amount of potent energy, which benefits many areas of the body and health.

With regard to health, boldo is used in physiotherapy in order to improve digestive system disorders. In phytoenergetics, the same plant is used to purify and harmonize the vibratory field of the person using it. To learn more about this plant, read on!

Among religions of African origin, such as Umbanda and Candomblé, boldo is considered the sacred herb of Oxalá. The herb connects the person using it with the frequency and vibration of the orisha. This ends up allowing spiritual cleansing and the enhancement of protection.

In addition, boldo is also responsible for cleaning and enhancing the pineal gland, which is located between the eyes and is associated with mediumship. Due to this, he is extremely important to Orixalá and is often used during the preparation of a bath.

The boldo bath can be taken whenever you feel the need, but it would be nice to take it on Fridays, since it is the day of Oxalá. To make the bath you won’t need much, have a handful of boldo leaves (fresh or dry) and a liter of water.

To prepare the boldo bath, you will have to heat the water. If the leaves are fresh, rub them in the bowl of water and don’t allow the temperature to rise too high. Try to keep the water lukewarm or even cold. If the water gets too hot and boils, it will burn the plant.

During the preparation, it is important that you mentalize the desire for protection. After macerating the plant, cover and let the bath rest for about 10 minutes. After that, take it to the bath and, when taking the hygiene bath, pour it all over the body.

In the case of dried herbs, water can be warmer, at the same temperature as tea preparation.

Like most baths, the main purpose of the hominy bath in Oxalá is to discharge negative energies, purify and enhance our energy field.

However, the canjica bath has a different benefit from other baths, in addition to providing peace and tranquility, it is often used to attract great love. To learn more about the bath and how to prepare it, read on!

Among the essential elements during the cult of Oxalá is hominy and, therefore, it is so important for the orixá. In general, people resort to her to prepare and offer offerings to Oxalá and, due to this, she ends up becoming a good ally for the famous bathing rituals.

The canjica bath ritual serves to open paths and ask for protection from Orixalá. To prepare sympathy, you will need to look for some ingredients that you may not have at home, but they are not difficult to find. Have at hand:

– 1 kg of canjica corn;
– Coconut soap;
– Vegetal loofah;
– A large pan (12L capacity)
– Sugar;
– A 7-day white candle.

With the canjica corn in hand, try to separate only the good ones, that is, those that are not spoiled, with black or yellow spots. Once this is done, cook them in a large pan with 10L of water.

When you see that the water is boiling, turn off the heat, remove the water and let it cool. Return the corn to the fire and add enough water to cook it. When cooked, let it cool.

Take the water that you had let cool in the first moment and go to the bath. At first, you will take a shower with cold water. Scrub your entire body with vegetable loofah and use coconut soap. Make a lot of foam on the head.

Rinse yourself and, still wet, take the hominy water and place it close to your mouth. Make requests to Oxalá and pour the water over your head. Allow her to wash her entire body. When the bath is finished, wait a while for you to feel the energy circulating through your body.

Don’t dry yourself. When dry, opt for light or white clothes. Get out of the bathroom, fill a glass with ice water and add plenty of sugar. Place the glass inside a white plate, light the 7-day candle and place it next to the glass somewhere high in your home.

It’s important that the plate is higher than you. After that, say a prayer and offer it to your guardian angel. Not over yet. In the end, take the cooked canjica and throw the handfuls on top of your house, asking that I hope that he will remove all the evils from the environment and bring harmony, peace, tranquility and whatever else you want.

When someone has their paths closed, it is possible to realize that nothing goes right. Often, the person enters a streak of bad luck that no one can explain why it is happening.

It is harrowing and at the same time desperate, since not all people believe in mysticism. In these cases, an Oxalá bath can be essential. With that in mind, we decided to share how to do the Orixalá bath to open paths. Check it out below!

Doing sympathy on Friday is not a rule, but it would be great. To prepare the recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

– Petals of three white roses;
– Petals of three white carnations;
– Petals of three white palms;
– A spoonful of sugar;
– A glass of milk of animal origin (cow, goat, sheep).
