O kind mother. Our Lady of Work!
Prostrate at your feet, I humbly beg you to look kindly on this unemployed servant of yours.
My situation is very difficult.
I don’t know who else to turn to.
So I’m looking for a light.
I know I can find her knocking at the door of your heart.
Whoever turns to you is not left empty-handed, unprotected, because I feel that I find safety in your hands under your gaze of tenderness and sheltered by your protective mantle.
Therefore accept my appeal by granting me the grace of a job.
I promise you that my heart will always be open to those who need my help.

Prayer for the unemployed

Jesus, I’m unemployed right now, so I beg you, open a door for me. Lord, answer this cry that springs from the depths of my heart. You also know, Lord, with how much hope I approach You to ask You to go ahead of me, opening a door and preparing a job, so that I can, through decent work, give my family their daily bread.

Lord, I already praise you and thank you for the person who is going to interview me in a selection process, and I want them to be full of you. I also ask you, Lord, for all those who don’t have a job. Lord, calm the hearts of those who seek and have not yet found a job, of those who are in need in their homes.

Lord, at this moment when I find myself in prayer in Your lap, and confident that Your Kairós will happen in my life and in the lives of everyone who trusts in You, I thank You. Lord, allow us to partake of Your mercy, and calm our hearts.
