  • 1 ½ cups of sugar

  • peel of 1 lemon
  • 2 sprigs of cinnamon
  • 5 cloves
  • 2 mini apples (optional)

How to prepare

  1. In a medium saucepan, place the sugar, grated ginger, orange and lemon peels, cinnamon and cloves. Place over medium heat and cook until the sugar has completely melted and forms a golden caramel – stir occasionally so it doesn’t burn.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and drizzle with the water little by little. Caution: if the pan is too hot, the liquid may bubble. Gently stir to combine – don’t worry if some of the sugar hardens, it will dissolve during cooking.
  3. Return the pan to medium heat and mix the cachaça. Once it starts to boil, lower the heat and let it cook for 25 minutes.
  4. While the cheese is cooking, wash and dry the apples. Cut each into 4 halves and discard the seeds and stem. Support the cut side of each half on the board and make thin slices.
  5. Turn off the heat and, with a ladle, serve the quencher straight from the casserole. Distribute the apples in the mugs and serve next.

  • 1 kilo sugar
  • Cachaça 500 milliliters

How to prepare

  • 6 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

How to prepare
