Have you ever wondered what are chakras and how they affect the emotions? In the body there is seven essential points, known as “chakras”, which are responsible for maintaining a balance between body and the mind.
In the West it is believed that our body is matter and nothing more; however, we have a physical bodyone mental and other energetic that is built through emotions.
Each of the chakras is located in a part of the spine and connects with a specific energy channel with emotional meaning.
There are seven chakras and each one works on a different emotion; When activated, they become a healing tool for connect body, mind and spirit.
What are chakras?
Firstly the word chakra comes from Sanskrit (a classical Indian language) and means “wheel“.
Are the energy centers of our body, and there are seven main chakras that are distributed in the spinal column and together they form a subtle body called Sushumna Nadi.
This column of the energetic body is connected to the physical column through the spinal cord and, in turn, the chakras connect with each other thanks to the Nadis either energy channels.
Through the nadis emotional information circulates and prana or vital energy. By balancing them, it serves to heal us both physically and to connect body, mind and soul.
What emotions are associated with the chakras?
Each chakra works with different emotions and vibrates at a different frequency and note, associated with a dominant color, as shared by the coach spiritual and holistic therapist “Panterita”.
Chakra 1: Muladharathe root chakra
The first chakra is represented by the Red color and is located in the base of the spine.
It is connected to the earth element and when it is out of balance, people can suffer from back pain, fear, restlessness, cold sensations, sexual problems, constipation and aggressive temperament.
Emotions associated with the chakra: Self-confidence, personal mastery, stability and balance.
Chakra 2: Svadhisthanathe sexual chakra
It is found by below the navel. Its element is water and is represented by the orange color.
This chakra is related to creativity, the urinary system and sexual organs such as the ovaries or testicles. When it is not in balance it results in symptoms of depression, asthma, allergies and eating disorders.
Emotions associated with the chakra: Structure and control in life are important, but it is also important to recognize that, when something does not depend on us, we must learn to let it go.
Chakra 3: Manipurathe solar plexus chakra
Its color is yellow and its element is fire. It is located in the solar plexus.
It is related to intellect, self-discipline and motivation. When it is in imbalance, digestive problems can be seen, as well as poor memory, indecision, nervousness and little willpower.
Emotions associated with the chakra: It is associated with willpower, personal power and internal fire.

Chakra 4: Anahatathe heart chakra
Distinguished by green color, its element is air. It is located in the center of the chest and is related to forgiveness, love, compassion and self-acceptance. Its imbalance translates into high blood pressure, lack of self-esteem and empathy.
Emotions associated with the chakra: With love, compassion towards other living beings and towards ourselves. The importance of forgiving teaches us to break with the mental ties that do not allow us to experience the sensation of freedom.
Chakra 5: Vishuddhathe throat chakra
Its color is blue and its element is ether. It is located in the area of the larynx at the height of the throat and is related to communication, wisdom.
In turn, it is linked to the vocal cords, the ear, and the lungs. Its symptoms of imbalance are: hormonal disorders, shyness and problems in the oral area.
This chakra works as a bridge to unite and balance the first three chakras of denser energy with the last three of more spiritual energy.
Emotions associated with the chakra: The expression, communication and listening to ourselves, to know what we really want.
Chakra 6: Ajnathe third eye chakra
It is related to the Indigo color and is represented by light. It is located in the area of frownis associated with the pituitary gland or pituitary gland and with intuition and the development of physical skills.
When it is imbalanced, people can suffer from coordination problems, sleep disorders and headaches.
Emotions associated with the chakra: With intuition, which teaches us to listen to our inner voice, which is very wise.
Chakra 7: Sahasrarathe crown chakra
Associated with purple, its element is space. It is located in the crown conceived as the center of the connection with the spiritual. It connects the physical, emotional and mental parts.
When this chakra is unbalanced, diseases such as Parkinson’s, depression, coordination problems and all kinds of mental disorders can arise.
Emotions associated with the chakra: With the connection with ourselves and with the universe.

Good nutrition: There are foods that are good for the body, like fruits and vegetables.
To meditate: In this way one places one in full attention and reinstates the energy, reconnects with oneself and then tranquility arrives.
Do sport: Incorporate it at least three times a week. The energy runs through the body and moves the fluids, making you connect with yourself.
Sleep well: When you don’t rest properly, you go through life at a different frequency and with a different predisposition. For this, it is important to have good sleep hygiene.
Sex with love: It is connecting with the essence of good energy in love with another. If there is no partner, you must connect with yourself, with your sexual identity or orientation and feel fulfilled. So when you have a partner, you can transmit this energy of love.
