Son of Will Smith launches his restaurant that aims to feed homeless people for free

In Brazil, especially during the winter, the difficulties that homeless people face are constantly reported, especially about the consequences of the cold. As a result, fortunately, some institutions have intensified their mobilization to welcome these people in warm and safe spaces, as is the case of some schools and even football clubs, which shelter them in their stadiums.

However, the lack of a roof over their heads is not the only day-to-day issue for this population; uncertainty about food can be an even more worrying factor. But there are people willing to change this reality. One example is the actor Jaden Smith, who in recent weeks launched a project called: “@ILoveYouRestaurant”, which distributes healthy food free of charge to homeless people.

To celebrate the arrival of twenty-one years, on July 8th, the son of star Will Smith, famous for having acted in the hit series in Brazil and around the world: “Um Maluco no Pedaço”, Jaden Smith celebrated his birthday. a different way, opened a food truck called I Love You Restaurant.

With the project, the singer had the objective of not only feeding, but also offering healthy food to homeless people. His food truck distributes free vegan meals on the streets of Los Angeles. The Instagram that Jaden created for the restaurant already has more than 100,000 followers and receives great popular support on a daily basis, in addition to numerous messages of help to cook, serve and continue the initiative.

Jaden explained a little more about the project, and even said that he has plans to repeat the action, which lasted a whole day, in the future: “The @ILoveYouRestaurant is a movement aimed at giving people what they deserve, vegan, healthy and delicious food. for free. Today we launch our first food truck day in the city of Los Angeles. Keep an eye out, because it’s the first time of many.”

On Instagram, the animal protection NGO Peta, which operates internationally, praised the initiative: “We love the initiative. You are helping to change the world for humans and animals alike.” Numerous artists also commented on the action: “This is amazing, I love what you do,” said comedian Kevin Hart.

In our country, some entities are also willing to help this marginalized population. In Porto Alegre, the Grêmio and Internacional soccer teams came together to shelter hundreds of vulnerable people in the Colorado gymnasium on a very cold night.

Initiatives like this, if not capable of changing the world, can at least transform one person’s day. One at a time.
