Have you ever thought about using a jacket that changes the heating according to the environment you are in? Created by startup Ministry of Supplyfrom Boston (USA), the coat mercury uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to warm up the user the way he needs it – great for those who like to play sports in cold places. The piece is made with three carbon fiber pads, responsible for heating, and has thermometers on the inside and outside, as well as a motion sensor.
The idea is to adapt the heating of the jacket according to the environment in which the consumer is and his body temperature – and this heat regulation can be done by voice command! In the company’s application, it is possible to put your preferences and the main movements of the day. Thus, the jacket will be pre-programmed to heat up at the right time.
The piece takes 90 seconds to heat up, can reach up to 57°C (the temperature of a hot cup of coffee) and manages to stay warm for about 4 and a half hours. The unisex model will be available in black and navy blue and will be water, wind and odor resistant. In addition to having a hood, the pockets have heated hands and the sleeves have a wireless system that charges your cell phone. Very technological!
The entire heating system weighs no more than 100 grams, which makes it possible to use the part in any place and activity. But what would be the cost of so many benefits?
