1. He/she never opens up emotionally

You guys sat down and talked about your relationship situation, and maybe you noticed a pattern. You try to find out when he or she really had time for you and realize that it never turned out the way you expected. He just likes attention.

3. He/she cannot stand public displays of affection

If you’re not willing to show affection in public, then there’s something wrong there. Sure, kissing in front of people is a little awkward, but if he doesn’t even give you a hug in public, he may not be that interested in the relationship.

4. Does he/she keep in touch with his/her ex

This is a warning sign that should not be ignored! If he has already broken up with his ex, why do you still have constant conversations with him/her?

5. Sometimes you feel like you’re dating a stranger

There’s nothing worse than being in a relationship where you feel a knot in the pit of your stomach. Something is wrong!

When you’re together, it feels like you’re on the side of a stranger. That’s a big sign that he’s not the least bit in love with you.

6. He only knows you on a superficial level

You like to think that you know each other very well, but to be honest, you don’t. If you asked him something he knows about your intimacy, he would surely fail. He/she knows you, but he/she doesn’t know your true self — the self that exists below the surface.

7. He/she avoids all kinds of arguments

Couples argue and that’s okay. But with him/her, arguments are more of a nuisance than anything else. Whenever they happen, it’s like he/she can’t be bothered. If you’re going to start one, he/she starts to walk away.

8. He/she doesn’t care about the future you could build together

When you try to talk about the future (marriage, kids, house, etc.), he/she seems to be thinking far away and doesn’t pay attention to what you’re talking about. It’s like he doesn’t care.
