3. O Lord, what is man, that you take knowledge of him, and the son of man, that you consider him?
4. Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow;
5. Lower your heaven, O Lord, and come down! Touch the mountains so they smoke!
6. Cast thy rays, and dissipate them; send your arrows, and rout them!
7. Stretch out your hands from above; deliver me, and snatch me from the mighty waters, and from the hand of the foreigner;
8. Whose mouth speaks vanity, and whose right hand is the right hand of falsehood.
9. To you, O God, I will sing a new song; with the ten-stringed harp I will sing your praises;
10. Yea, you who give victory to kings, who rescue your servant David from the evil sword.
11. Deliver me, and deliver me out of the hand of the foreigner, whose mouth speaks lies, and whose right hand is the right hand of falsehood.
