Pray for protection from goddesses and witches

How is the witch inside you? Strange question? What if I ask how is your inner goddess? Improved? More pleasant to listen to, isn’t it? But no one should be offended or find it strange when we ask how your witch or goddess is doing, because we are talking to the very strong and ancient essence that exists within each person, linked to our first ancestors, who worshiped the Great Mother or Mother Nature.

In the 21st century we must pay more attention to what our goddess or witch whispers in our ears. She says it’s time to wake up to the spiritual life and seek to balance it with our material life. Seek proximity to nature, its strengths and essence.

In this way we can give a new direction to our life. Changes occur completely or partially, depending on each person’s opening of consciousness. Mother Nature teaches that life is made of cycles. Everything is born, grows, lives to the fullest, begins to lose shape and dies. But everything in nature is transformed. Nothing is lost. What dies, takes other forms or is reborn in another life and goes on in the world.

Witches, or ancient priestesses, understood these cycles in nature, their strength and message. They practice their teachings in rituals that many call witchcraft. The origin of witchcraft is the same as going back to the beginning of humanity, when human beings began to awaken their perception to the mysteries of life and nature.

The oldest works of art depicting human figures are by women mothers. Dating from 35,000 to 10,000 BC, and discovered throughout Europe and Africa, these “Venus” figurines, so called by archaeologists, show the fullness of forms of motherhood and the maturity of female nature.

Since Neolithic times, the practice of witchcraft has always revolved around symbolic rituals that stimulate the imagination and alter consciousness. The first demonstrations of devotional art were the Black Madonnas, found in caves from the Neolithic period. Fertility goddesses were the first objects of worship of primitive peoples.

The druid priestesses of Britain were divided into three classes. The upper class lived celibate in convents. These sisterhoods fed the sacred fires of the Goddess and were assimilated in the Christian era as nuns. The other two classes could marry and live in temples or with their husbands and families. They were servants welcomed in the sacred rites of the Goddess. With the advent of Christianity, they were called “witches”.

Prayer to the Goddess / Witch’s Prayer

I am the Goddess, I am the witch

I am the one who illuminates and protects

The power of the Great Mother is within me

May the Great Mother,

the Lady of the North,

fill the tree of my life with fruit

Great Goddess who dwells within me, Sanctifies my every word and my every act.

Take away every shadow of my life

Light up all my stations

Make me strong in pain!

make me beautiful in love

May your name and your power

be my name and my power

So it always was, so it always will be.
