On Iemanjá Day, learn sympathy to attract love and peace

On February 2nd we have a double celebration in Brazilian religious circles. By the Catholic faith it is the feast of Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes. For African cults it is the feast of the orixá Iemanjá, the Queen of the Sea.

In many locations in Brazil, especially on the coast and in port locations, large parties take place, with aquatic processions and offerings at the water’s edge.

Although Nossa Senhora de Navegantes is celebrated in churches and Iemanjá in terreiros, for many people the two entities are the same, merging into a single faith and a single feeling of love and reverence for the Great Mother of the Waters.

For Iemanjá devotees, the period is very favorable to make offerings by the sea, rituals and spells to attract good energies. See below for some Sympathies and a prayer for the Queen of the Sea.

Sympathy to ask Yemanjá for health and protection
Sympathy for health, invoking Iemanjá’s protection, is quite simple. Please Iemanjá with a vase of flowers. Material needed:

– A flower pot

– White roses

On a Saturday day, take a flower vase, fill it with white roses and place it on your kitchen or living room table. Offer these white roses to Iemanjá and ask for health for all the residents of your house. You can pray the prayer at the end of the article as well. When the white roses wither, throw them in the sea or in a green area, field or woods.

Sympathy to forget bad things
Buy a notebook with a plain cover. Write on it the things you want to erase from memory. On the first full moon after that, go to the sea, taking the notebook. Enter the water and say: “Great Lady of the sea, take with your strength and your impetus all the evil that is in my mind, so that my heart will no longer be bitter.” Then throw the notebook into the water as far as possible. Take seven steps back without turning your back on the sea. Then turn around and walk away without looking back.

Spell to be lucky in love
Get five or eight white roses (Iemanjá and Oxum numbers), lavender perfume, ribbons with the colors of harmony (blue, yellow, pink, white and green), mirror, talc, soap and jewelry. Line a basket with cellophane, tie a ribbon to the stem of each flower and sprinkle some baby powder and perfume on top. Then, put the mirror, soap and jewelry in the basket and take it to the sea. Count three waves and, on the fourth, offer the basket to Iemanjá and Oxum.

Sympathy to have money all year
Take to the beach seven white roses, seven coins of the same value, lavender perfume and a champagne. Pray to Iemanjá and to the Orixás who have strength in the sea. Count seven waves and throw the flowers into the sea. Then, pour the champagne and offer it to the orixás. Wash the coins with the perfume and place them in your right hand. Dip your hand in water and ask for financial protection. Let the sea take six coins and keep one, which must be kept as an amulet during the year.

Sympathy to ensure peace, tranquility and prosperity
Mix white rose petals, raw rice and a perfume of your choice and apply to the body. Looking at the sea, pray to Iemanjá asking for peace and prosperity, for the coming year. Next, take off your shoes and enter the sea dressed in a white outfit. Take three dives and come out of the water with your back to the sand.

Prayer for Yemanja
My protector Yemanja. Nurse of those who suffer, comforter of the afflicted, counselor of the distressed. Mother of all. Thank you for the many graces you bestow on us. I am outraged by your luminous aura. And I pay you my homage, queen of the waters. Who contributes charity and love, among all her children.

I thank you, Madam Mother Yemanjá, for attending to me in the hours that I use your powers. Divine thanks I give you, Yemanja. For your miraculous radiations, I thank you, saying thank you for your constant protection that you have provided for our suffering brothers.

I bow before you and I beg you, continue to give protection to your devotees who dedicate deep love. May your blessed golden continue to protect and vibrate goodness.

Give peace and health to those who kneel at your feet. Give us your pure protection and soul comfort. I beg in this message because I believe in your immense power. So be it, my dear mother Yemanjá.
