Metallic nail polishes are here to stay. After them, several techniques and textures of nail polishes appeared that promise to leave your nails shining. We tested the nail decoration that uses the metallic tape as the main accessory.

Every day there is a new technique, a new nail polish or a new nail trend, so it is necessary to use creativity to create something that has your style. The technique we have chosen allows the person not only to choose the colors that best suit them, but also the format and location chosen for the decoration.

You can improvise with the gift wrapping tape, we use it and it is easily found in stationery stores and craft stores (average price R$ 2.00 per package). If you want to make the technique even easier, opt for the self-adhesive metallic tape suitable for nail decoration.

They already contain their own glue that facilitates the decoration process, and can be found in cosmetic stores or on the internet (average price of R$16.00 for a kit with several colors). The first step is to cut the ribbons into strips. Measure the length of your nails and leave an overhang on both sides for easier application. Once this is done, apply a layer of the chosen enamel and clean the excesses with a toothpick, cotton and acetone.

Apply a second coat of cream nail polish and with the nail polish still wet apply the tape however you want (diagonally, vertically, horizontally). It is important to remember that the decoration has to be done on one nail at a time so that the enamel does not dry and for the tape to stick better.

The second part is the finish. Cut the leftover tapes on each side of the nails with the help of a pair of pliers. It is worth remembering that the tape has to be cut correctly so that there are no leftovers on the sides.

To finish, apply a coat of extra shine carefully on all nails to increase the durability of the decoration and clean the excesses with a toothpick, cotton and acetone.
