It’s not a wig! Meet Theo, the Newest “World’s Hairiest Baby”

What care do you take with your hair? Do you wash with pH stabilized shampoo, apply conditioner with keratin amino acids, follow hair schedule and moisturize once a week?

This is just part of the care routine for many women, after all, we are always looking for more shine, strength and movement for the wires. Even more so after the age of 30, when the hair starts to get thinner and thinner.

The list of products, procedures and trips to the hairdresser in order to conquer resistant wires and in large quantities is very long, taking up a good part of our time and consuming a few reais from our bank account every month.

Not wanting to discourage you, we need to tell you a little thing: apparently, you missed the chance to be born with a huge head of hair. I mean, at least if we think about Theo’s case, a baby that came out of mom’s belly with the hair of many people’s dreams.

It’s not a wig at all!

Theo is a 7-month-old baby who lives in Pennsylvania, United States. He became famous on social media after his mother, Adriana, published a video of her son, who draws a lot of attention because of his hair. See and be enchanted:

The video even reached the famous presenter Ellen DeGeneres, who invited the mother and baby to come to her TV show. At the time, Adriana said that Theo’s hair is so long and thick that many people accuse her of putting a wig on the boy.

“People told me, ‘His hair is going to fall out. It will all fall. But that never happened. He was born, stayed long. It just kept growing”, Adriana told the presenter.

Theo’s hair care involves shampoo, conditioner and a blow dryer – quite powerful. Adriana also revealed that Brody, the baby’s older brother, was also born with a head full of hair, but the strands were not as long and voluminous as the youngest’s.

Differences are normal

Although a baby is much more likely to be born bald than to be born as hairy as Theo, these differences are normal and not related to the child’s or mother’s health problems.

The amount of baby hair is related to genetics, being influenced by parents and grandparents. In general, oriental babies are born with more hair, while blond babies are born with less. There may be variation between siblings as well.

Unlike what happened with Theo, the first hairs are not usually permanent, and they fall out between 2 and 6 months of age. It can also happen that the baby is born completely bald and spends the entire first year without hair. The deadline for the hairs to appear is the end of the second year of life.

Were your children born with long hair like Theo’s? And you, would you like to have a large head of hair like this little boy?
