Is it correct to remove hair from the ears of dogs and cats?

“Although many pet stores adopt this practice during the bathing and grooming of dogs of furrier breeds, such as poodles, yorkshires and Maltese, and Persian cats, it is totally not recommended”, he emphasizes. This is because, when removing the hair, we can cause woundsvarious hearing damage and cause inflammation such as severe external otitis.

The presence of hairs in the ear canal is a protection essential against bacteria and foreign bodies. Furthermore, they are related to the central nervous system and its sound stimuli – this is why, when listening to a louder noise, the animal moves both ears.
