The doctor explains that, to get pregnant with a girl, the following factors are important:

• Diets rich in calcium and magnesium: milk, cheese, white beans and cereals;
• Sexual intercourse two or three days before ovulation;
• Acid vaginal pH.

For couples who wish to have a boy:

• Diet rich in potassium and sodium: diet rich in meat and fish;
• Sexual intercourse close to ovulation or even later;
