According to Leonardo, clay is indicated to reduce oiliness and flaking of the scalp, due to the alkaline pH and the presence of silica. It acts as an anti-residue shampoo, performing a deep cleaning in this region. However, be careful to apply it only on the scalp, as it can dry out the ends of the hair. It is recommended to leave it on for 10 minutes, every 15 days.
“It is preferable to use in people with oily scalps and to eliminate residues from shampoos and other products”, concludes the dermatologist.
