Nail polish is no longer just a secondary feminine beauty item and is considered today, a powerful accessory to complement any woman’s look. With that in mind, several nail polish brands use everything that happens in the fashion world as inspiration for the creation of the nail polish color chart.

For summer it is different. The nail polish trends seen at Nails Fashion Week – nail polish event that took place in São Paulo – are the same ones seen on the catwalks of major fashion weeks. Candy colors, transparencies, metallic tones and neon are some examples of fashion trends that have inspired some nail polish brands.

To compose a discreet and colorful nail we chose the classic francesinha. We exchanged the white nail polish, used to make the tip of the nails, for the neon orange nail polish. You can choose the neon nail polish that suits you best and adhere to this trend.

For this nail decoration you will need a creamy clear nail polish for the base. We chose Colorama’s Batida de Coco (average price R$3.00).

To trace the tip of the nails, use a neon nail polish of your choice. We opted for the Impala Tech (average price R$3.00). These materials are easily found in pharmacies, cosmetics stores and supermarkets.

The step-by-step process for making the francesinha is already known, but special care must be taken when the francesinha is colored so as not to run the risk of staining the nail decoration. First, apply two layers of the chosen nail polish to the base of the nails – Batida de Coco da Colorama – clean the excesses with a toothpick, cotton and acetone and wait for it to dry for at least fifteen minutes.

After that, make a line on the tip of the nails using the neon orange nail polish – Tech by Impala. The thickness of the line is up to you, but remember that the thinner the line, the more discreet the decoration on the nails will be. For the francesinha to be perfect you can count on the help of a masking tape to mark the thickness of the desired line. Let it dry for at least half an hour and apply a coat of top coat to all nails to finish.

The colored francesinha can also be made with candy color nail polishes or even with the tip of each nail in a different color. Use your creativity and abuse fashion trends for the summer.
