Flatform: learn how to wear the favorite footwear of fashionistas

Platform shoes have always been in the women’s wardrobe, but recently they had a reinterpretation and received a different name, the English term “flatform”. The main feature of this model is the flatter platform, without major differences in levels along the sole.

Certainly, this modality offers a few centimeters and more, and of course, a lot of comfort. The model has been the big bet of national and international brands in their winter or summer collections.

To balance it with flatform shoes, consultant Danyla advises: “Because they are flashy shoes, with a heavier appearance and with a casual style, the best thing to do is pair them with more dry pants, for example, skinny ones, because that way, the silhouette could be more balanced.

“To elongate the silhouette, try to match the colors of the shoes with the pants or invest in neutral colors. Leaving the hem of the pants folded above the ankle makes the look lighter”, adds Danyla about the pairing of shoes in the look.

Flatform with shorts

Shorts are ideal pieces for the hottest days and offer a lot of comfort. Jeans composition pieces are all about flatforms and together they form youthful looks with a lot of fashion information.

In order not to make the look so heavy, the fashion consultant says: “Use and abuse more girlie compositions, because the look will be more balanced or compose with more elegant pieces such as blazers, shirts or silk tops making the hi-lo wave in the best style”.

Flatform with skirt

All lengths of skirts can compose cool looks when mixed with flatforms. Pencil skirts are on the rise and pair very well with platform shoes, from sandals to sneakers.

About pairing the garment with the footwear, Danyla teaches: “Flower midi-length skirts ask for open flatforms or in neutral colors to elongate the silhouette, while mini skirts go well with any model and flatform color”.

Flatform with dress

Dresses of all lengths, short, midi and long, form beautiful combinations with flatforms. These pieces are fresh, but easily adaptable to cold day looks, whether they are paired with jackets, jeans or leather.

To give an extra touch of modernity to the look, consultant Danyla indicates the overlapping of the look by military parkas, or oversize denim jackets. Chokers and crossbody bags complete the look with style.

Flatform with monkey

Monkeys are the face of summer. They can be in light fabrics and even with a more sophisticated modeling, but they can also have the casual touch that is provided by jeans, even more if combined with t-shirts.

The flatforms to match this piece can be of different models, from open to closed, through sneakers and espadrilles. The look is a great option for informal activities that require fresh pieces.
