“The Art of Loving” – Erich Fromm

Erich Fromm was a German psychoanalyst, philosopher and sociologist. In the self-knowledge book “The Art of Loving”, he explores the ways in which love can alter the course of our lives, when it consists of maturity, self-knowledge and courage. Learning to love at this level takes time, practice, and concentration. In “The art of loving”, Erich Fromm deals with the different types of love: romantic love, the love of parents for their children, love between siblings, love for God and, from the perspective of self-knowledge, self-love, which allows us to recognize and value our own virtues and qualities.

“Nausea” – Jean-Paul Sartre

Jean-Paul Sartre was a French philosopher and writer. In “Nausea”, he seeks to fictionally approach all the principles of the philosophical school of existentialism, which deals with human existence through questions such as “Who are we?”, “What do we do?”, “Where are we going?” and “What moves us?”. “Siddhartha” – Hermann Hesse

It seeks to explain, through concepts of quantum physics, the relationships between body and mind, valuing each individual’s creativity and freedom. In this book on self-knowledge, Danah Zohar proposes, through quantum psychology, the positive redefinition of the nature of human beings and their relationships through self-knowledge.

“The Power of Now” – Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tolle is a German writer and speaker, and his most famous book is “The Power of Now”. In this work, he associates and combines teachings from various religions, such as Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and Taoism, creating a guide to self-knowledge for the discovery of our inner potential. In the book about self-knowledge “The Power of Now”, Eckhart Tolle shows us the importance of becoming aware of and reflecting on our own thoughts and emotions.
