Find out how many people have your name in Brazil and where they live

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) announced, this Wednesday (27), a survey that lists the recurrence of the names of the national population. But the big news is not just knowing what the 200.4 million Brazilians are called, but using the tool capable of researching how many people are called like you, where they live, and amazingly, the incidence of your name over the decades.

The project entitled Brazil names, was developed using the records of lists of residents collected on the last July 31, 2010, the date of the last Census carried out in the country. The first name and last name of all the inhabitants of each residence are included in the survey, and if there were two homonymous people, other names were included so that it was possible to differentiate them.

First names with different spellings like Anna and Ana, for example, were counted separately, with the original spelling of the record. Differentiating graphic resources such as cedilla, accent, umlaut and tilde were not recognized, so just put yours with the letters and have fun accessing the tool.
