Federal Revenue releases second batch of income tax refund

THE IRS opened this Monday consultations on the second batch of refunds from the Individual Income Tax (IRPF) de 2019. According to the Tax Authorities, 5 billion reais will be paid in this lot to around 3.2 million taxpayers. The deposits will fall into the account informed by the citizens on the 15th of July. The restitution batches are released monthly. After the priority categories – the elderly, the physically or mentally disabled, the seriously ill and teachers –, the Tax Authorities pay taxpayers on a first-come, first-served basis. There are seven batches of Income Tax, which are released between June and December, always in the second half.

The amount refunded this year also includes 280.6 million reais that will be paid to 90,449 taxpayers who made the declaration between 2008 and 2018, but were in the fine mesh.
