Dolls shower gathers best friends in fun party

Mini parties have gained more and more fans. After the pajama party craze, the doll shower promises to be the favorite theme for mothers in the coming months. The idea is to gather the birthday girl’s best friends for a fun afternoon tea. Each child is invited to bring their doll to play, making the day even more fun.

For decorators Rejane and Clara Bernardes, from Corujinhas, the idea of ​​changing the grandiose party for a more intimate celebration only has advantages. “A more intimate party frees the parents from that insane rush of attending to 100 adults and, in the end, still having to deal with that feeling of not being able to pay attention to everyone. The smaller party is really focused on the child and their friends,” they say. For them, the tendency is to direct the invitations to the child and a companion and not to the whole family of friends.

Specializing in pajama parties and picnics, the Corujinhas team was inspired by the traditional British Tea Time. Tradition holds for meeting for a cup of tea every day promptly at 5 pm. Cups, teapots, and boxes of tea were strewn across the table. The decoration also gained touches of sophistication with the use of many flower arrangements, porcelain, pearls and fine sweets decorated with fondant. “Parents are enchanted precisely because the proposal is completely different from traditional parties, full of balloons, panels, Styrofoam or paper sculptures, cloths and towels. These elements are losing space”, says Rejane.

Right at the entrance of the event, the little guests received a flower headband and a pearl necklace. The treats also served as a souvenir.

When setting up the guest table, it is essential to use furniture proportionate to the size of the children for tea time.

The decorators point out that from the age of 4 onwards, children are already able to help themselves. “We only recommend the presence of an adult to supervise. It is best to serve iced tea so that children can handle it without hurting themselves,” they advise. Those over 7 years old are already more independent and do not need help to serve themselves.

An old painting that was thrown in the family closet was reformed to become a panel for photos. It was painted and covered with fabric to receive the Polaroid photos taken during the party. After the event he was placed in the birthday girl’s room.
