Have you ever heard of caviar for nails? This is the material used to decorate caviar nails. They are small balls, of different colors and textures, that when joined in the nails, they look similar to that of a caviar.
There are several ways to compose this technique. We prefer to use the one-child trend to apply caviar to the nails, so the decoration is more discreet. We opted for taupe and black nail polish colors, a classic combination that suits all women.
To make the caviar nail decoration technique, you will need a small pot of caviar for your nails (average price R$4.00 per pot) and two different colors of creamy nail polish.
If you can’t find caviar to decorate your nails in cosmetic stores in your city, you can do like us and buy it online at online cosmetics stores.
We opted for Impala’s Jackie (average price R$3.00) to polish all nails and Revlon’s Black Lingerie (average price R$19.00) for the only child on the ring finger.
You also need a colorless base, a saucer or sheet of paper, cotton, a toothpick and nail polish remover. These materials are easily found in cosmetics stores, pharmacies or supermarkets. Check below the caviar we chose and the nail polishes we used to apply the technique.
The first step is to apply two coats of the chosen nail polish to use on most nails, except for the only daughter. Then apply two layers of nail polish for the only daughter on the ring finger and clean the excess with cotton, toothpick and acetone.
Once that’s done, apply a generous layer of colorless foundation on the only daughter and throw in the caviar balls until the nail is completely covered.
Apply the balls alone where there are gaps. To ensure the fixation of your decoration, it is necessary to use your finger to lightly press the balls under the enamel. This step is important for the caviar to settle on the nails. Application is similar to velvet nails.
To finish the caviar nails, wipe off the excess and wait for it to dry completely. The top coat can be applied only to the tips of the nails, like a mini francesinha, to increase the durability of your decoration.
