Call of ‘gostosa’ at work receives compensation of R$ 8 thousand

Dentist Jéssica Mendes, 29, a resident of Barra da Tijuca, in Rio, was walking to the gym when a builder started harassing her with words like “hot” and “what an ass”.

It was already the fourth day that he had said embarrassing words, jokes and offenses, and the dentist responded with “Shut up!”. After that, the worker started to threaten and curse her, calling her a “slut” and a “whore”, as she told G1.

She filed a police report, but even so, the harassment continued on other days.

She said she heard embarrassing words from three other workers at the same construction site for the construction company that provided services to the BRT in Rio de Janeiro.

After two years, the Justice of Rio condemned the company EIT Engenharia S/A, responsible for the work, to pay approximately R$ 8,000l to the victim.

According to information from G1, the company did not respond to attempts to contact it to comment on the conviction.
