Tarot (or tarot) is a deck composed of 78 cards calls from Arcana (or blades), divided into two groups: majors and minors.
The word Tarot means “road” or “path”While arcane means “secret” or “mystery”. Putting the two together, we have man’s journey towards wisdom.
In other words, Tarot is a self-knowledge tool who, through the reading of cards, reveals the mysteries of the unconscious.

Are Gypsy Decks and Cartomancy Tarots?
No! Although they also use suits and numbered cards, the structure and meaning of cartomancy and the gypsy deck are quite different.
