A series of morning exercises to “wake up” your face and get rid of puffiness (takes less than 7 minutes)

There are few people who think they are beautiful when they just wake up and look in the mirror. On several occasions, our desire is to go to work looking fresh and radiant, but the task is arduous for those who have a puffy face for a long time, with uneven coloration on the face or with marked expression lines. Fortunately, there are very simple exercises that take 5-7 minutes that can revamp your appearance. They can easily be included in your daily routine.

If you do the exercises regularly (and not just in the morning), you will certainly notice positive and permanent changes. First of all, the exercises are aimed at improving the elimination of liquids.

1. Relaxing the neck to improve blood flow

Lateral stretching of the neck surface. Starting position: standing, back straight, arms extended along the body. Bring your left hand down, and at the same time, tilt your head towards your right shoulder. Hold the pose for 30 seconds. Change your hand and head tilt. Stretching the front part of the neck surface. Starting position: standing, back straight, arms extended along the body. Bring your hands down and forward a little. Carefully tilt your head back and press towards the back of your neck. Hold the position for 30 seconds. Stretching the back of the neck surface. Starting position: standing, hands clasped behind your head. When exhaling, lower your head a little, and when inhaling, try to raise it again, using your hands to prevent movement. Then, as you exhale, lower your head again. Repeat 3 times.

Result: reduction in lines in the décolleté and neck area, improvement in blood and lymph flow.

2. “Wake up” the skin to improve the color of the face

Hold the ears with your fingers in a “V” shape and rub them up and down at a fast pace. Repeat 30 times. Use a toothbrush to gently pat the entire surface of the face for 1 minute. Alternating hands, grab sections of hair from the roots and pull gently. Repeat the process across the entire hairline. Also, you can run your fingers over your head from your forehead to the top of your head.

Result: increased blood flow to biologically active points on the skin, lymphatic drainage.

3. “Opening” the eyes to eliminate puffiness

With the index finger of the right hand, hold the skin on the surface of the left eyebrow. Slightly bend the index finger of the left hand and act as if to “pinch” laterally along the entire eyebrow, pressing on it with moderate intensity, raising it a little. Do the same with the right eyebrow. Repeat 10 times on each side. The index fingers, slightly bent, are over the eyebrows, while the thumbs are in the region between the eyes. With this, the fingers form a kind of “binoculars”, which must be close to the skin, but without pressing it. Alternate with eyes wide open and eyes almost closed, holding each position for 1 to 2 seconds. Try not to wrinkle your forehead, just wrinkle your eye muscles. Repeat 10 times.

Result: more “open” look, decrease of puffiness under the eyes, reduction of “crow’s feet”.

4. Straightening the forehead

Place the index, middle and ring fingers of both hands on the forehead, pressing firmly. Stay in the position for a few seconds, then move your fingers towards your temples and downwards. Repeat 10 times. The index fingers rest over the eyebrows, trying to mimic their curvy shape. Raise your eyebrows, suspending the region above them. Stay in the position for 3-4 seconds and relax. Repeat 10 times.

Result: relaxation of forehead muscles, reduction of expression lines.

5. Lifting the skin of the face

Place your hands on your face so that half of the palms are pressing towards the cheekbones and the fingers towards the temples. Slowly move your palms to the top of your head, bringing them together. Place your thumbs next to your chin and close to your neck in a space that is at the back of your jaw. Start making circular movements in different directions, always towards the ears, slowly massaging the lower jaw bone and the space below it. Repeat 2-3 times.

Result: Light lifting facial, elimination of swelling in the lower part of the face, lymphatic drainage and “lift” of the chin.
