Before hanging shelves and cabinets, check the security of the walls. Storage furniture can only be installed on master walls, those that support the property. A thin drywall won’t support the weight, so it’s best not to take chances. If you have no other option, install specific brackets on fragile walls to fix the cabinets.

You have to think carefully when choosing the sink. Don’t just take into account the beauty, because the most important thing is that it is practical. But if you’ve always been very fond of round sinks, there’s no point in installing a square one, in case it causes an eternal nuisance. The kitchen sink must be spacious and withstand high temperatures. It is also important to choose the right depth: according to experts, between 160 and 200 mm is the ideal measure.

Every kitchen has its nooks and crannies. In a small kitchen, which requires the use of every centimeter, it is important to think carefully about how to occupy the empty corners. A piece of furniture with revolving trays in one of these corners is the ideal substitute for those uncomfortable drawers. Folding doors are more expensive, but they are essential for you to make the most of your space.

Specific drawers for corners or diagonally are also great alternatives for areas that are left unused. You can even install the stove or sink in these corners, not forgetting to install good lighting.

A lot of people love glass panels in the kitchen. And we don’t deny it, they look really beautiful. Under the glass, you can even place a beautiful decor. However, it is worth remembering that these accessories end up accumulating dust and dirt in areas where it is difficult to clean. With each prepared meal, new stains are likely to appear. Already the desire to save by buying poor-quality glass will result in cracks. And it will make your kitchen messy and ugly.

If you really want to install glass, order a single piece rather than multiple pieces put together. The safest and most durable panel is tempered glass. Don’t skimp on material.

Lighting is very important in a kitchen. Environments in light colors seem better lit, but if you prefer dark cabinets and walls, be sure to install the necessary amount of lamps. You need to have multiple levels of lighting in the kitchen: the main light from above, the light directed towards the work area, and a nice lamp on the dining room table (if you have one).

It is also important to place switches and outlets in practical places. Anyway, the rule applies: the more light in the kitchen, the more pleasant it will be to stay in that environment.

If you had the idea of ​​installing furniture with beautiful legs, but keeping the space under them open, think again about it. Bear in mind that this will create an obligation to constantly clean the place, as dirt and small objects will accumulate, which will insist on hiding there.🇧🇷 Therefore, it is better to order the production of boards to close these gaps.

For a kitchen to be practical, you need to have work areas between the fridge, sink and stove. After all, you will need to take the food out of the fridge, wash it and finally cook it.

When overheating due to high temperatures, the refrigerator will always work at maximum to keep the cold, consequently, it will end up malfunctioning. Although laminate flooring is super popular, it’s best not to install it in the kitchen, as moisture can cause it to swell. With it, you will always hear a nuisance noise when walking on it. A fully tiled floor does not create a warm feeling: your feet will always be cold, and accidentally dropped dishes can break or crack the floor.

Therefore, the best solution is a combination of ceramic tiles with heat-treated wooden parquet. Ceramics should be installed directly next to the work surface, while wood should be reserved for the area where you and your family eat.
