7 tricks that will help you look good in photos

Many think that photogenics is a divine gift, bestowed only on Hollywood models and stars…don’t worry, there is hope! The secret to looking good in photos is the posture in front of the cameras.

During a social experiment, British TV presenter Samantha Simmonds and two journalists from the British daily mail discovered seven tricks that will help people look at lenses with beauty and tranquility.

1. Find the angle you like best

“Almost everyone has an asymmetrical face so you need to know what your ‘favorable angle’ is,” says John Godwin, a London-based photographer who took part in the experiment. Find the side you like best and face the camera from that angle.

2. eyes

“Usually when I do selfies, I raise my eyebrows to keep my eyes open”, says Samantha. “However, John told me this that it makes my face look surprised and even scared,” adds the presenter.

Celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore and Sharon Stone prefer to open their eyes a little, so that they look more courteous and penetrating.

3. Don’t smile too much

According to the authors of the experiment, a smile that is too wide can look unnatural, in addition to not looking good for everyone. A moderate smile makes the face pleasant and does not emphasize wrinkles.

4. Thinner face

“Look at the camera with your best side and a 30° angle, while pressing the tip of your tongue against the roof of your mouth,” teaches John. With this trick, his face will look thinner.

5. mouth

6. Look at the camera from below to above

“If your face is a little below camera height, look up a little. The trick widens the neck and gives it an air of elegance”, explains the photographer. “This pose allows for the best click. Otherwise, your face becomes aggressive and less attractive”, completes the professional.

7. Lift your chin

In profile pictures, lift your chin. This trick makes the face more expressive, in addition to widening the neck and making the cheeks smaller.
