7 Stomach Ache Symptoms You Shouldn’t Ignore

People who lead a sedentary lifestyle often suffer from stomachaches and a lot of discomfort in the intestinal area. While problems are often easy to work around, there are some symptoms that can reveal much more serious problems.

Today the incredible.club will show in more detail what these symptoms are and what we should do in the presence of any of them.

1. Abdominal pain

This happens when we eat or drink something wrong. However, if you often feel a growing pain in your lower abdomen, your bowel may be inflamed. Possible problems include Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or cancer.

2. Constipation

If you are often constipated or have painful bowel movements, you may have diverticulitis (a small, inflamed pouch inside the colon) or Irritable Bowel Syndrome, a complex condition with symptoms such as diarrhea, bloating, pain and gas. Sometimes a proper diet can cure these problems. But be careful not to neglect the pain and end up in an operating room.

3. Diarrhea

If your stools are too soft or watery, it’s likely that your colon isn’t working properly: it may not be absorbing water and other substances, and that’s why it’s inflamed. Several colon diseases are associated with diarrhea, such as the aforementioned Irritable Bowel Syndrome, diverticulitis or Crohn’s disease. If it lasts longer than 24 hours, see a doctor. It is important to have a colonoscopy to rule out more serious conditions such as cancer.

4. Blood in the stool

5. Weird stools

The shape, consistency and color of the stool are good indicators of our health. Unusual shapes can, for example, indicate cancer. Stools that are brown in reddish tones can indicate that there is blood inside the digestive tract, especially in case of black/reddish color. A paler color may indicate that the pancreas or colon cannot absorb fat. The presence of a lot of mucus in the stool can indicate inflammation, which happens, for example, with Crohn’s disease. Understanding what’s wrong with the unusual stool is mandatory to get the proper medication or surgery as soon as possible.

6. Intestinal gas

Excessive gas with a strong smell means that there is something that has not been digested or absorbed by the colon. It could be the lack of some bacteria, inflammation or abnormal bowel movements, which happens, for example, with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It is important to understand whether the problem is a result of eating certain foods, such as beans, kale, whole grains, cheese, prunes or pears, or whether it is a symptom of a colon disease.

7. Lack of energy

If the colon is not functioning properly, the body suffers from a lack of nutrients, minerals and vitamins. This can lead to tiredness and cause sleep problems. If you suddenly feel exhausted after a normal day at work, you may have colitis or Crohn’s disease. In this sense, talk to your doctor and eliminate all doubts.

Have you ever suffered any of these symptoms? Know someone who has Crohn’s disease? Share your experience in the comments.
