6 nail care to keep them always beautiful and healthy

Having beautiful nails, with the cuticle well removed and with the nail polish that is the color trend for the season are not the only care you should have, after all, just like your hair, they need to be hydrated and always healthy. Therefore, being aware of the stains and enamels that you apply is essential.

When you go for a manicure, bring your own cuticle removal supplies. “Many beauty salons have well-maintained, sterilized equipment. But it’s always good to bring your own items, such as pliers, spatulas, wooden or metal sticks”, suggests manicurist Adriana de Vale.

It is important to remove the cuticles carefully so as not to hurt the corners of the nails. “Don’t let it hurt or take too much fur. The bruise can inflame and be a great proliferator of bacteria”, recommends the manicurist.

Try to moisturize your nails with specific products. “Currently, there are creams, in tubes, that moisturize and strengthen nails. Ideally, it should be used at least once a week”, says Adriana.

The cosmetics market is increasingly launching new products that promise hydration and strengthening to nails. The so-called treatment enamels can help with weekly care. “There are those nail polishes that align the nails and are based on vitamins. They really work and make them much more resistant”, comments the manicurist.

Another option is also to apply olive oil to the cuticles. “The oil itself moisturizes and brings more life to the nails. I recommend to my clients to use them without fear”, reveals Adriana.

Although there are varieties of brands and colors, you need to let your nails breathe. “I know that modern life requires women to paint their nails daily. But it is important to leave them at least two or three days without nail polish. The nails are shinier and healthier”, suggests the manicurist.

Toenails

To avoid ringworm, it is important not to wear flip flops or other shoes for people who have ringworm. “Anyone who is in direct contact with others who have ringworm can get it. Therefore, it is important not to wear the same shoes, not to remove the cuticles of the nails with the same pliers”, says Adriana.

The same care with fingernails should also be followed for toenails. Therefore, moisturize with specific products and sand each one carefully. “The toenails, as they are thicker, can be filed with the most grainy part of the file. Soak your feet in a basin with oils and moisturizing creams at least once a week”, recommends the manicurist.

Do not pull the hairs that are loose on your fingers. “On both hands and feet, do not pull the cuticles that are loose, as they can infect and proliferate bacteria”, warns Adriana.

Don’t let dirt accumulate under your nails. “Wash your hands and nails well with soap whenever you pick up or touch an object. The dirt that is under the nails should be removed with cotton with acetone”, says the manicurist.

Taking these precautions, in addition to having beautiful nails, you will prevent any disease from affecting your hands or feet.
