When I was in school, I won the “Mini Miss” contest. The winner could choose one of two plush toys, a white fluffy puppy, or a squirrel. The choice was obvious, the puppy! What happiness is mine! I went home very proud, hugging my gift, and when I arrived, my grandmother immediately took the toy from my hands, saying: “Oh, you will get it dirty in fifteen minutes!” I was sad and distressed. My mother was in the hospital and couldn’t defend me, so I complained to my father, but he was at work, very busy, and didn’t want to pick a fight with his mother-in-law. I do charity work and I’ve noticed that the nastiest people are the ones who give little. They transfer five reais and more than any other, require proof and justification, although all data is available to the public. During walks with my French bulldog, I often meet a girl with a dog of the same breed. Once, for no reason, she started talking about how much she paid for her special colored dog with blue eyes. I prayed she wouldn’t continue, but she asked, “What about your animal? I’ve never seen such a strange color. He’s from a shelter, isn’t he?
