15 Mistakes In Famous Hollywood Movies That May Have Gone Unnoticed (And Some Defy Logic)

To produce a successful film, a truly colossal daily work by producers is required. They have to calculate and plan everything in advance, consider countless variables and nuances, and collect so much detail that it seems like even a computer couldn’t do the job. Therefore, it is not surprising that even in large productions it is possible to find small errors. And although the viewer usually doesn’t notice them, the most attentive movie lovers certainly don’t let them go unnoticed.

We, from awesome.club, we love watching movies and exploring every detail of their scripts. Therefore, with the help of Internet users, we have prepared this post with 15 errors in famous movie scripts and we are ready to share them with you. Check out!

1. Iron Man (2008)

In Iron Man, in the scene when Tony Stark has his arms open while an explosion occurs in the background of the image, first we hear the sound of the explosion and only later do we see its glow. However, we all know from school physics classes that the speed of light (in this case represented by the flashes explosion) is greater than the speed of sound (the noise itself). Therefore, in this scene, everything should have happened in reverse order: first the glow appears and then the sound of the explosion.

two. Lost in Mars (2015)

In Lost in Mars (as well as in other space-themed films), the viewer can always clearly see the faces of the characters inside the space suit, as if there were internal lighting inside the helmet. In real life, however, it is not possible to see the astronauts’ faces through the viewfinder. If spacesuit helmets were the way they are depicted in the movies, the person inside them simply wouldn’t be able to see well in space. To prove it, try to see the street in detail on a dark night from a well-lit room in your house.

3. Forrest Gump: The Storyteller (1994)

4. Titanic (1997)

In a scene from Titanic, Jack tells Rose that he has been to Lake Wissota, in the US state of Wisconsin. However, at the time, such a feat would have been impossible: Lake Wissota was only formed in 1917 as a result of the construction of a hydroelectric dam on the Chippewa River, while the Titanic sank in 1912 — that is, five years before the formation of the lake.

5. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2002)

Rubeus Hagrid, from the Saga Harry Potter, is a half-giant: his mother was a giant and his father was a warlock. The character was nearly twice as tall as an ordinary person, while the giants of the universe Harry Potter they were truly large creatures. These facts raised some doubts among netizens. For example, how did your parents manage to conceive two children when there was such a colossal size difference between them? And how did Hagrid’s father manage to raise a giant baby single-handedly, given that, as clarified in the film, Hagrid’s mother decided to leave the family when he was still a child?

6. Modern Family (2009–2020)

in the american series Modern Family, the most attentive viewers managed to notice that in one scene the character Haley holds her cell phone upside down during a conversation. We don’t even need to point out that in real life talking like that on the phone wouldn’t be easy at all, do you agree?

7. Star Wars, Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983)

8. Jurassic Park: Dinosaur Park (1993)

In the movie Jurassic Park: Dinosaur Park, with the help of a mosquito trapped in amber, scientists manage to gain access to dinosaur DNA. However, in real life, such a feat is impossible: experts have proven that DNA is not conserved for so long inside this animal.

Furthermore, the mosquito shown in the amber more closely resembles in structure and size a giant mosquito, which, in turn, does not feed on blood, and therefore could not carry dinosaur DNA.

9. The Wild Adventures of James West (1999)

Will Smith’s character in The Wild Adventures of James West wears a tight black tie most of the time. However, this style of tie knot did not start to be used until after 1924, while the events of the film are set in 1869.

10. Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Attentive fans also managed to notice an inaccuracy in the film. Avengers: Endgamewhich ended the saga of Avengers. In one of the final battle scenes, the magical “Eye of Agamotto” amulet can be seen hanging around Doctor Strange’s neck, however it inexplicably disappears in the other scenes. It is also worth mentioning that this artifact, inside which the Time Stone was kept, had been destroyed by Thanos in the previous film in the saga.

11. Jurassic World: The World of Dinosaurs (2015)

12. anaconda (1997)

In the movie anaconda, in one of the scenes showing a boat on the river, the producers decided to use the recording backwards (that is, in reverse order), to indicate that it was returning. However, the filmmakers did not take into account that there is also a waterfall in the background of this shot. So when they reversed the order of the video, the waterfall started flowing in the opposite direction — going from bottom to top.

13. Back to the future (1985)

The famous scene when Marty McFly plays guitar in the first film of the trilogy Back to the future also contains inaccurate information. The Gibson ES-345 guitar that the protagonist uses was only released three years after the events of the film: Back to the future takes place in the year 1955, while this red musical instrument only started to be sold in 1958.

14. the vulture (2014)

When the protagonist played by Jake Gyllenhaal in the vulture looking for information on the internet, it is possible to notice that, in fact, only a video is being displayed on the monitor with the help of the Windows Media Player program.

15. 007 — A New Day to Die (2002)

In 007 — A New Day to Die, the villain, North Korean spy Tao Sun Moon, changes his appearance by altering his DNA, so that he becomes a person with a completely different look. In the real world, such a change would simply be impossible, and the manipulations performed on the bone marrow and brain shown in the film are, after all, quite dangerous. Wouldn’t it be simpler if the villain just visited a plastic surgery clinic?
