15+ Guest Stars Who Left Their Mark on “The Big Bang Theory”

1. Carrie Fisher and James Earl Jones

9. Stephen Hawking

The physicist was more than a special guest. He is constantly mentioned and made an appearance in Season 5 to expose Sheldon to an error in his thesis. After his death in 2018, the producers paid tribute to him: in the episode of the wedding between Sheldon and Amy, the bride and groom receive a special gift from the scientist. A photo of the cast appears next to Hawking with the message: “To one of the greatest minds in the universe and a dear member of our family.” The scene didn’t air for a matter of time, but it was disclosed on the social networks.

10. Kathy Bates

It’s hard not to relate Kathy Bates to her villainous role in Crazy Obsession, which won him an Oscar in 1990. Of course, after this role, his artistic career continued in Fried Green Tomatoes, Titanic and American Horror Story, between others. She also participated in Big Bang Theory, playing Amy’s mother in Sheldon’s wedding episode in season 11.

11. Christopher Lloyd

Sheldon and Leonard fight and start to annoy each other. In this context, Theodore appears, a strange man to whom Sheldon rents the room in the house where Leonard and Penny live. Doctor Elizabeth Plimpton, named for Judy Greer’s character in a Season 3 episode, was actually a nymphomaniac, more interested in spending the night with Leonard and the rest of the group than in academic studies.

Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, made a cameo on the show in season 6. He can be seen handing out candy to children on Halloween and bragging that he was an astronaut. It is a video sent by Raj to Howard, as he does not stop bothering the rest of the group with his adventures in Space.
