2000’s
Brazilian models have been successful on international catwalks since the 70s, when Betty Lago rocked fashion shows in Milan at just 20 years old. But it was only in the 2000s that Brazil consolidated itself as a true “factory” of supermodels. It was at that time that tops such as Alessandra Ambrósio, Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, Izabel Goulart, Lais Ribeiro and Isabeli Fontana conquered companies of renowned brands and became recognized around the world.

13. Samile Bermannelli
Samile Bermannelli, from Bahia, was discovered in 2016, when she was still a student, and her international career took off quickly.
