11 Fashion Trends We’ll Probably Skip In 2021

Those who follow the world of fashion know how fun it is to see the “evolution” of pieces over the decades. We write evolution in quotes because, in fact, trends are part of a big cycle. What is on the rise today may not be on the rise next year, but, suddenly, it may have a triumphant return ten years from now.

We, the team of awesome.club, we investigate which are the trends that are likely to be left aside soon. On the other hand, we have suggestions of what you can use instead. Check out!

11. See-through shoes

“Sheer” sandals and boots have been in fashion since 2019, but it is possible that 2020 marked the end of this trend. On the other hand, high boots — knee length — promise to come with everything, especially those in lighter tones, such as white or brown.

10. Clips

The barrettes made the heads of those in tune with fashion and the fun was betting on the quantity. The more the better. However, as the trend dates back to 2019, we think it has already lost steam. In return, the bucket hat (as the hat on the right is called) has been gaining more and more followers. Maybe you don’t remember, but the model was a huge success in the hip hop of the 1990s.

8. Tops of feathers

Recently, you must have seen some celebrity wearing tops or feather dresses. But do you know someone, in their daily lives, who adhered to fashion? As the occasions on which they can be used are rare, it is understood that this trend will decrease in 2021. On the other hand, tops very short — as if they were from the gym — promise to pump more and more and are a great option for hot days.

7. cropped t-shirt

Is the age of cropped t-shirt ended? In 2020, the appearance of this model on the Instagram of influencers was rarer. But what we saw growing was the presence of purposely shorter coats, like cropped blazers or jackets (such as the piece in the photo on the right).

6. Super Collar

Those who are into fashion know that the knitted vest has become a favorite piece among “fashionistas” and the trend is to wear it with a blouse with puffy sleeves underneath — as shown in the photo on the left. This wave was so big, that the style will probably be replaced soon. And what’s up? “Maxi-ultra-large” collars, 1970s style, that steal all eyes and become the highlight of the look🇧🇷

5. Strawberry print

Fashion influencers were fascinated by the strawberry print in 2020. Despite being very cute and feminine, it quickly becomes “cloying”. The bet for next year is the “astronomical” trend: stars, extraterrestrials, planets and other elements in the “universe” theme should be on the rise. Including, the print that is in the photo on the right, of crescent moons, won an award for “print of the year” — which shows that the trend only tends to grow.

4. Tie Dye

Who hasn’t tried making a Tie Dye in 2020, let the first stone be cast (click here to find out how to do it). The trend dominated our wardrobes, but its appearance was so intense that it is possible that it will disappear in 2021. Manual techniques, however, should remain high — just like crochet.

3. Tops one-shoulder

The minimalist trend should remain high in 2021, as well as the body-hugging silhouette. However, the tops on one shoulder should only make room for tops straight, strapless, that are versatile, practical and work for many occasions.

2. Microbag

The end of 2019 and the whole of 2020 were marked by microbags — singer Lizzo even took the trend to the other extreme by wearing the model in the photo below at the American Music Awards (would that be the smallest bag in the world?).

Although the microbag is cute, we need to speak the truth and say that the model does not meet all the needs of women on a daily basis. That’s why we think this trend is fleeting and shouldn’t continue in 2021. The alternative? The chain bag, which has increasingly conquered “fashionistas”.

1. Neon

We believe that the peak of neon was really in 2020. The trend was present on the Instagram of fashion influencers, but we believe that it will not continue very far. What we have seen is the rise of “relaxed” pastel tones, such as soft lilac, butter yellow and mint green.
