10 Doubles of actresses who acted together on more than one occasion

It is very common for actors and actresses to appear on the small screen together more than once, including some that we like so much that we don’t even mind them repeating the double. In addition, with social networks, it is also possible to be enchanted with friendship on the other side of the TV. Some actresses, time and time again, find themselves in some soap opera, series or theater, and leave their performances in our imagination, they were so good.

For a long time, Nívea Stelmann and Samara Felippo were right faces in Globo soap operas. They did some plots together, like Suave Veneno, Chocolate com Pimenta and Sete Pecados, not always as friends, but always rocking the performance. The synchrony was so great that friendship crossed the screens, and one is the godmother of the other’s son.

When the subject is Malu Mader and Cláudia Abreu, the first scene that comes to mind is the classic bathroom fight scene in Celebridade. However, the duo already shared the screens long before: the actresses worked together in Fera Radical, O Outro, Anos Rebeldes, Força de um Dinheiro and, of course, Celebridade, like rivals Maria Clara and Laura.

In A Força do Querer, Juliana Paes was featured as Bibi Perigosa, and the scenes alongside Elizangela caused a lot of impact on the viewer, with the right to a lot of emotion and friendship. However, this was not the first time that the duo acted together: in O Clone, Juliana and Elizangela played Karla and Noêmia, respectively. They were neighbors in the São Cristóvão neighborhood and Karla took advantage of Noêmia’s profession: masseur. The two also participated in A Favorita, but they only bumped into each other in the corridors of the recordings, since they were not in the same group.

Juliana Paes and Isis Valverde shared the role of A Força do Querer, alongside Paolla Oliveira. The two were very close in plot, true confidants; but anyone who thinks this was the first time together on the small screen is wrong. In 2009, they lived together in Caminho das Índias; Juliana lived the Indian Maya and Isis, the Brazilian Camila. This was the first time that Isis left the country, and said that Juliana saved her on the trip, as she was desperate, even getting lost in the hotel where they were staying.

Zezé Polessa and Isis Valverde were apparently born to be mother and daughter, since whenever they appear together on screen it is to live these characters. In 2008, the two were Ivete and Rakelli, in Beleza Pura, and almost ten years later they returned to live mother and daughter, this time in A Força do Querer, in which Isis played one of the protagonists, Ritinha, and Zezé was Edinalva, who he did everything for his daughter’s happiness.

In the Big Little Lies series, Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz play friends Jane Chapman and Bonnie Carlson, but anyone who believes this is the first time the two are together on screen is wrong. The actress duo has previously acted in the Divergent trilogy, as Tris and Christina. The great friendship in the plot is repeated in real life, Zoe even stated that when they found out they were going to work together on the series, they called each other: “Shailene and I are obviously soulmates and the universe agrees, because we continue to unite, which is Fantastic”.

Most of us know Heloísa Périssé and Ingrid Guimarães from the television series Sob Nova Direction, which was on the air for three years, but they met long before that. In 1993, the two participated in a humor workshop on TV Globo, and later performed on the Chico Anysio Show, but what consolidated the union between the two was the theater play Ccégas, which ran throughout Brazil. In 2019, the two met again on screen, this time in Cine Holliúdy. Heloísa said that working with her friend again was a privilege: “It was wonderful to work with her, we always had a lot of chemistry and that is not something you lose”.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are a recurring acting duo, especially if the subject is comedy. Together they have participated in some films, such as: Sisters, A Mother for My Baby and Mean Girls. With more than 20 years of friendship and a synchronicity to envy, the duo not only act in films together, but also present programs and awards side by side, such as Saturday Night Live and three consecutive years of the Golden Globes.

When the topic is Marieta Severo and Andréa Beltrão, we immediately remember A Grande Família, in which they spent 14 years working together, making viewers laugh. However, this union began many years before, on the theater stage; around 1980, they acted in A Estrela do Lar, and since then they have shared several plays, such as O Espectador Condenado à Morte, which celebrates the return of Teatro Poeira, a place managed by the two friends.

Here we don’t have a duo, but a trio; Heslaine Vieira, Gabriela Medvedovski and Daphne Bozaski shared the lead role in Malhação — Viva a Diferença, which was quite successful among the public, even breaking a ratings record when it was repeated. The fame was such that Globo even decided to launch a series, As Five. However, the reunion came not only in the continuation of the teenage soap opera, but also in the plot Nos Tempos do Imperador, in which Daphne and Gabriela were sisters, and Heslaine played Gabriela’s antagonist and rival.
